Support Group Peer Facilitators
Qualifications
All peer candidates must have:

Lived experience with depression and resilience
-
A desire to support, empower, and inspire others to live well with depression
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
The ability to work as part of a team

A willingness to attend at least four LiveWell support groups prior to the training process

A willingness to participate in an all-day (6 hour) online training
-
A willingness to commit to facilitate a LW support group twice a month (or every other week)
About the (Online) Training
Program participants will be trained in and be able to demonstrate knowledge of:

The peer recovery movement in historical context

The values, underlying principles, and mechanisms that inform both the LiveWell Program and experiential learning

Active-listening skills
-
Group facilitation skills, including integrating principles of trauma-informed peer support and creating inclusive discussionsā
